Frank “Snake” Whittaker is just a trail hand fighting off the effects of a recent celebration when a bank robbery sucks him into a posse only to wind up signing on with a ruthless U.S. Marshal to continue the hunt for Dandy Jim Beudreaux. It’s a battle of attrition as the chase takes them from Santa Fe, New Mexico into Colorado and back, losing men on both sides until it’s just Snake and Dandy Jim on the way back to justice, but can the naïve Snake withstand the cunning of the gambler/bandit?
